Davies, who runs the British Lambretta Archive, takes a detailed look at one of the world’s great scooter marques. The Bible examines Italian-built models, Lambretta Concessionaires machines and British dealer specials built between 1947 and 1971, creating a model by model record of each model.
The book includes new and previously unpublished photographs, accounts from Lambretta Concessionaires staff, full scooter specifications, production changes, original publicity and promo material, and even year by year paint code information.

Peck’s book is the first on the subject of British ‘woodies’ – wooden shooting brakes, station wagon and estate cars – and it goes into detail on all the main chassis builders and coachbuilders (including some of the more obscure companies).
In their heyday, they were built on virtually every make of car and light commercial chassis and could be seen on every road in Britain. Sadly, the British climate isn’t too kind to wood and today they are a real rarity.

This book follows the life of BSA’s two-wheeled working class hero, the Bantam – a small, simple commuter motorcycle which thousands of people learnt to ride on. It became the standard GPO ‘telegram bike’ in the Fifties and was a huge success with 100,000 coming off the production lines in just the first four years.
The Bible follows all the changes and the evolutions, year by year and ends with the bikes sad demise in 1971 as an old, under-developed design which was thoroughly beaten by newer Japanese four-stroke designs.
Written by Peter Henshaw, a former editor of 'Motorcycle Sport & Leisure' magazine, the Bible also includes a Bantam buying guide and some useful appendices on specifications, engine and frame numbers and Bantam club/specialist contact details.
