Park one Fourgonette body next to a wrecked F355, give it some thinking time and the concept for the Nimik 2CV was born. Providing you've got two blokes with wild imaginations...

Okay, how many of us have done rough drawings like this during moments of boredom? Right then, how many of us have seen it through to the bitter end...?

Early stages of the build, really show how much work has gone into the Nimik. Here the F355's front overhang is far too long, so the front of the chassis had to be completely reworked to retain that 2CV look.

Whilst the width of the cargo area fits over the V8, the cabin needed widening and reinforcing with an integrated rollcage.

Above and below: fabrication, including widened bonnet – complete with fluting – is nearing completion. Now wonder this project took 1500 hours to complete!
