The large varied line up of cars primed for passenger rides more or less made sure that there was something present to punch everyone's buttons, whether you fancied a squirt in a hot-rod or a blast in a Chevron. Most behaved faultlessly (cars that is!), although the Moggie was struggling a bit moving off the line – a troublesome clutch was mentioned and cursed...

Several eye-catchers included a Ferrari 250LM and 275GTB, a Lotus Type-14 Elite racer, a beautifully prepared Alfa Romeo pairing (a 1750 GTV and Giulietta TZ1), a fantastic little Abarth Osella PA1, a brutal Lola T70, a seasoned race-prep’d Jaguar MkII and a droolsome Ferrari 312PB. All of which certainly bodes well for the event proper in July. We really can’t wait.
